With my new baju batik, finally I made my decision to attend the Majlis Penyampaian Hadiah Peraduan Mengarang Esei Kenegaraan 2009 on 12 December 2009 at 7pm. I remembered the day I received the invitation letter and I really confused on it. I kept asking myself whether I was one of the judges for that competition. Until the last Friday, I received a phone call from department to confirm my seat.
It is my pleasure to be there and my honors to get to know Grace Yong, another anak merdeka. Actually we still have another two girls together with us but they disappeared in the washroom. (Pelik???) The whole night we enjoyed the Chinese set dinner and the entertainment prepared by the staff from Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia. During the dinner, we got the chance to chat with Mr. Samuel on the setting of the committee of Kelab Anak Merdeka. Grace and I showed the interest to involve ourselves in the activities organized by department and also the club. This invitation was not just a dinner but it made us to feel proud of my identity as “Anak Meerdeka”. I do hope to have more chances to contribute my knowledge and participation in all the activities organized by the department.
